Bradford J. Gilde

Brad Gilde

Aggressive, bold, creative – Attorney Gilde has the experience and the proven ability to succeed where other lawyers and law firms fail. As firm founder of Gilde Law Firm, Brad Gilde is dedicated to helping clients with their legal issues – mesothelioma, asbestos exposure, fracking and natural gas exposure, trucking and auto accidents, industrial accidents, prescription drugs, defective products, plant/refinery explosions, maritime/oil platform injuries, severe personal injury, and contract disputes. From his success as a trial attorney, he brings keen strategic foresight, extensive factual knowledge, and a commitment to client satisfaction to every case.

Education

Brad Gilde attended The University of Texas at Austin (UT) where he graduated with a degree in Philosophy and Government with a minor in Business. While at UT, Brad Gilde competed in interscholastic Mock Trial and was President/Captain of the UT Judo Team where he fought in numerous collegiate, state, and national competitions.

Legal Background

After UT, Brad Gilde returned to Houston, Texas, to attend South Texas College of Law (STCL) – the best law school in the country for trial advocacy. There, Brad Gilde competed successfully in numerous national mock trial competitions and was awarded the Order of Barristers. After receiving his JD, Attorney Gilde returned to STCL as an adjunct professor teaching Mock Trial Litigation from 2004 to present and coaches STCL’s nationally competing varsity mock trial teams.

Following law school, Attorney Gilde pursued a career representing injured people and their families. Attorney Gilde has been honored to work for some of Houston’s most elite plaintiff trial firms, including The Lanier Law Firm, Aaron J. DeLuca, PLLC, and Matthews & Associates.

Philosophy

Attorney Gilde’s past guides the Gilde Law Firm’s philosophy. A Shodan in Judo, Judo strongly shaped Attorney Gilde’s view of litigation and advocacy. Judo requires a fighter who is constantly moving; acting and reacting both offensively and defensively; fighting smaller, leaner than your opponent; and often giving way to your opponent allowing him to defeat himself.

Attorney Gilde uses these same combative tactics in litigation and advocacy, as a trial lawyer. That is, “constantly moving” requires constant pressure on defendants by aggressively filing legal pleadings first and often; “acting and reacting both offensively and defensively” requires using the law as both a sword and a shield to advance the client’s interests; “fighting smaller, leaner than your opponent” requires using big-firm thinking in a small-firm setting, so that the lawyer can act and react quickly without being encumbered by big-firm inefficiencies; and “giving-way” requires seeing the big picture – knowing when to concede on the smaller issue to win the case.

“acting and reacting both offensively and defensively”

Attorney Gilde believes that to argue and win in the courtroom requires a fighter, and Judo strongly shapes Attorney Gilde’s litigation and trial strategy.

Attorney Gilde founded Gilde Law Firm to implement his own philosophy. During every case, Attorney Gilde strives to attain justice for his clients who have been injured or victimized by others.
